CRUISE...I've caught the travel bug

I've officially caught the travel bug! I am obsessed with the idea of taking a cruise this year. I've been seriously researching Mediterrean cruises since New Year's Eve night and haven't stopped since! I told my husband that not only is this on my bucket list but this is a must for our marriage. I think Royal Caribbean may be my cruise line of choice. Unfortunately, when we do go it will only be for 7 nights because any more than that would have us completely broke. Seriously though, trying to enjoy your life without unlimited cash is difficult and limiting. I need to win the lotto ASAP(haha).

In addition, my BFF/SFAM has asked me to be her matron of honor (her wedding is October 1st, 2010-gotta lose a bunch of weight for this. There'll be a whole other post about this weight dilema-standby..uuggghh) as a result I've been stalking http://asmalltownbride.blogspot.com/ She went on a Mediterrean cruise for her honeymoon and I'm in love with her commentary and pics. Check out her site because her honeymoon recap is AMAZING!!! I dare anyone not to catch the travel bug after seeing all of her great pics.!!

I have to say that APPLE is my favorite brand for computers etc. Besides loving my Macbook, my husband has also given me an Ipod Touch as a present and I love it so much. I love all the apps (the one's I've installed have all been free) and there are so many free apps to choose from. My first app purchase may just be oregon trail (oldie but goody). If you DO NOT have a Blackberry then definitely get the Iphone but if you have a Blackberry, then you must definitely buy the Ipod Touch!! 5 stars

so there are too many websites out there that i would love to sit and peruse...however, this little thing called 'work' has me fully occupied today! but i will be back to blog reading later or tomorrow.

today is a super anti-social day for me. the more people try to talk to me at work, the more i feel like cringing. however, i'm answering emails and bbm-ing my husband without a problem. i just don't like the fakeness of these a$$holes at work. another thing too-there are these black girls/women here at work that want to draw me into their inner circle and don't get me wrong but "no thanks!" they bad mouth each other every chance they get--and they give me some funny looks (maybe because i give them funny looks too) hehehe

oh wells-- to know me is to love me and.... to know me is quite a difficult task.... but worth it!!!:)

i am a list maker! aside from being a bookworm--i am a list maker. there is something about listing everything i have to do, buy, see, etc. that makes me feel happy. it could be because i'm a natural worrier and a perpetual procrastinator that makes being a list maker almost a must for me. i can't escape my lists, even when they aren't written down. i have hundreds of lists just floating my head and here's one of them:

here are my 29 favorite things that I LOVE right now:
1. my handsome sweet husband Brian
2. twilight series, harry potter, & lord of the rings
3. bookstores & books (all kinds---i'm a bookworm)
4. MUSIC--all kinds (i'm serious. i love everything even in languages i don't understand :)
5. a perfect cup of frothy cappucino or english breakfast tea with milk and sugar
6. rainy days curled on the couch in front the tv with Brian or reading a good book
7. beauty! in art, photography, fashion and the inner spirit of people

friends...or the lack there of

i'm so jealous of girls that have a group of very close friends. i wish i did--because at the point in my life i can honestly say that i have no girl friends. in my late teens, up until my mid 20's, i had two close friends-one now lives in Virginia (i live in NY) and the other i've just grown apart from. sometimes when i think about it, it makes me a bit sad. my husband is my bestfriend but i don't have any really good girl friends. i sit and think sometimes, damn! what's going to happen when i get pregnant? isn't that the time when you really need some girl friends? i won't even have a baby shower because i don't have any family to at least fill the void.
but anyway, i need to just cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it because i'm sure i'm not the only female who doesn't have any friends (even typing that was very sad).

i guess it's hard for women to stay friends. too much backstabbing, hating, copying (i had a friend that if you bought or had something, the next time you saw her she would have it too), and since i'm the only married one, i guess i'm an outsider.

well fuck it!!!! i'll have my own baby shower with me and my hubby and i'll just find a way not to feel like i'm missing anything by not having a girl friend to share things with.
i'm about to be 30 & making friends at 30 seems damn near impossible :( :(

...why is it that everytime I see pcitures of your life, I feel as if i'm watching a movie?
maybe because all you do is watch movies and try to mimic your life after one
but that seems ultra stupid because life can't be like a friggin' movie...
movies are fun to watch but the best part of life is
that it's just happening and not following some Hollywood script
and why are you mad at your boyfriend because he didn't buy you the diamond ring,
in the blue Tiffany's box that you saw on "Sweet Home Alabama"?
and why are you starting to look and act like the women on those movies?
they're actors and they come across as entertaining...you on the other hand...
are just a cliche!

I spent some time eyeballin' clothes and shoes on Urban Outfitters for myself-rarely do I click the Men's link but I did today and here are some sneakers that would look so fly on my hubby.

By the way, UO has a super-duper sale on sandals-I'm heading over there after work to scoop up some stuff. I'll report back on my purchases tomorrow.
*UPDATE: Just got back from UO and it sucked. I need to stick with ordering online. There was nothing there, plus it was raining, and sticky-I came home disgusted. *sigh*-I need to hit up Aldo and Forever 21 tomorrow. I'll definitely be buying something!
